WAYFINDER COUNSELING THERAPY
WEBSITE DISCLAIMER

Last Updated: August 30, 2026

This Website is owned and operated by Wayfinder Counseling Therapy ("Wayfinder," "we," "us," or "our"). This Disclaimer, together with our Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy, applies to your access to and use of www.wayfindercounselingtherapy.com and its subdomains (the "Website").

By using the Website, you acknowledge this Disclaimer. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website.

For Educational and Informational Purposes Only

The Website may contain information about mental health, therapy, parenting, emotions, anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, relationships, family communication, and related topics. It may also contain articles, videos, social-media content, downloadable resources, visual materials, or other educational content.

This public Website content is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not individualized advice for your particular circumstances.

Not Individualized Mental Health Treatment

Julio A. Ibarra, LPC is a licensed professional counselor. However, general information provided through the public Website is not individualized psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, assessment, treatment planning, psychiatric care, or other individualized mental health treatment.

Mental health concerns vary from person to person. Information that may be useful for general education may not be appropriate for a particular individual, family, diagnosis, medication issue, crisis, or clinical situation.

Do not use Website content as a substitute for an individualized evaluation or treatment relationship with an appropriately qualified mental health or healthcare professional who can consider your specific circumstances.

Not Medical or Psychiatric Advice

Nothing on the Website is intended to provide medical or psychiatric diagnosis, medication guidance, or individualized medical treatment. Questions involving medication, physical health, medical symptoms, or psychiatric treatment should be discussed with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Wayfinder does not represent general Website information as a substitute for medical care or emergency evaluation.

No Therapist-Client Relationship Through Website Use

Reading Website content, using an educational resource, sending an email, clicking a link, submitting an inquiry, or scheduling a free consultation does not by itself establish a therapist-client relationship with Wayfinder Counseling Therapy or Julio A. Ibarra, LPC.

A therapist-client relationship begins only after appropriate consent, intake, clinical-service requirements, and other applicable steps have been completed and therapy services have been agreed upon.

A free consultation is intended to discuss what brings you to Wayfinder, answer general questions, and consider whether Wayfinder may be an appropriate fit. It is not a therapy session and does not establish an ongoing therapist-client relationship.

Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer

Wayfinder's Website, email, consultation forms, scheduling tools, and ordinary business communications are not crisis-response or emergency services and should not be used when immediate assistance is needed.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest appropriate emergency department.

For suicide, mental health, emotional distress, or substance-use crisis support in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The 988 Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and also offers online chat. Spanish support is available by calling 988 and pressing 2; Spanish text support is available by texting AYUDA to 988.

Texas residents may also contact their Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) or Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA). Texas Health and Human Services contracts with local authorities throughout Texas that provide community mental health services and 24/7 crisis assistance. The appropriate local authority depends on the person's county or ZIP code.

For Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties, Texas Health and Human Services currently identifies Tropical Texas Behavioral Health as the Local Mental Health Authority. Its crisis phone number is 877-289-7199.

Crisis-resource information can change. For current statewide Texas LMHA/LBHA contact information, use the Texas Health and Human Services directory linked from the Website's crisis-resources section, if provided.

Minors and Parent or Legal Guardian Consent

Wayfinder provides therapy services to adolescents. However, a minor cannot independently consent to treatment through the Website when parent or legal guardian consent is required.

A parent or legal guardian must provide the consent required for a minor to begin treatment. Website use or contact by a minor does not by itself create a therapist-client relationship or constitute consent to treatment.

Personal Responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether general Website information is appropriate to consider in your circumstances. Mental health and healthcare decisions should be made with appropriate professional guidance when individualized evaluation or treatment is needed.

Nothing on the Website should be interpreted as directing a visitor to ignore professional advice, discontinue treatment, change medication, or delay seeking appropriate care.

No Guarantee of Results

Therapy outcomes and responses to mental health strategies vary between individuals and families. Wayfinder does not guarantee that a particular therapy approach, educational strategy, Website resource, or service will produce a specific result.

Descriptions of therapy approaches, common experiences, potential benefits, or examples are educational and should not be interpreted as promises or guarantees of outcomes.

Testimonials and Privately Disclosed Statements

Wayfinder may occasionally publish brief statements reflecting positive feedback or experiences that were privately disclosed. When such a statement is presented without a name or identifying reference, it is intended to protect the individual’s identity and is not presented as a guarantee of any particular therapeutic result.

Individual experiences with therapy vary. A statement about one person's experience should not be interpreted as typical, predictive, or evidence that another person will experience the same outcome.

Publication of any feedback should be handled consistently with applicable professional, ethical, privacy, and consent requirements. Nothing in this Disclaimer should be interpreted as authorizing disclosure of confidential client information.

Reviews and Recommendations

Wayfinder does not currently publish a formal program of compensated product or service reviews. If Wayfinder later publishes reviews or recommendations, those materials should reflect good-faith opinions and any material relationship, compensation, discount, or other incentive should be disclosed when required.

References to books, apps, websites, services, organizations, or other resources are provided for general informational purposes and do not necessarily constitute an endorsement of every statement, product, service, policy, or practice of the third party.

Affiliate Links

Wayfinder does not currently use affiliate links or receive commissions from Website visitors' purchases through affiliate links.

If Wayfinder begins using affiliate links in the future, the Website and this Disclaimer should be updated to clearly disclose that relationship where applicable.

Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Content

Wayfinder may use generative artificial intelligence ("AI") tools to assist with brainstorming, drafting, editing, refining, or creating certain public-facing materials. This may include Website copy, educational articles or resources, marketing content, social-media content, and images or visual materials.

AI-assisted material is reviewed and selected before public use. Even with human review, AI-assisted content may contain errors, omissions, or oversimplifications. It should therefore be treated as general informational content rather than individualized clinical guidance.

Wayfinder's use of AI for public-facing content does not mean that visitors are receiving automated psychotherapy, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, or crisis intervention through the Website.

Nothing in this Disclaimer represents that confidential therapy information is entered into AI systems. The handling of clinical information is separate from this public Website content disclaimer.

Accuracy and Changes to Information

Wayfinder makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information, but mental health guidance, laws, professional standards, third-party services, crisis resources, and other information can change. Wayfinder does not guarantee that every Website page or resource will always be complete, current, or error-free.

Visitors should verify time-sensitive or high-stakes information with the appropriate professional, agency, or official source.

Third-Party Resources and No Endorsement

The Website may link to or mention third-party organizations, scheduling platforms, insurance resources, crisis services, books, apps, websites, or other resources. Wayfinder does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, terms, or services.

A link or reference does not necessarily mean that Wayfinder endorses every aspect of the third party or guarantees its services.

Important Legal Review Note

This Disclaimer has been customized to reflect the Website practices and information confirmed by Wayfinder Counseling Therapy as of August 30, 2026. It is a customized Website disclaimer template and not a legal opinion or guarantee of compliance. Because Wayfinder is a mental health practice serving adults and minors, professional, healthcare, privacy, advertising, testimonial, crisis-response, and licensing requirements may apply. A qualified Texas healthcare or mental-health attorney should review this Disclaimer before publication if legal-compliance assurance is required.
